The goal of this project was to create an infographic for a specific social issue, targeting college students. I chose to do mine on safe sex and avoiding STD’s. After a lot of research that probably should have gotten me kicked off the school’s computers, I picked out the more vital points.
the problem
College students need to be educated on their options for safe sex and made aware of the potential repercussions for not using them. However, it needs to be attention grabbing, sex-positive, and non-judgemental.
the solution
I decided to make the infographic brightly colored with fun graphics, I tried to use positive and funny language, and keep the imagery generally neutral. I was important to me that the viewer never feel judged or excluded, merely educated.
